After showing volatility earlier this week, the cryptocurrency market shifted to positive territory over the past 24 hours, as all top 10 cryptos registered gains. At the time of writing, Bitcoin was up around 0.8%, climbing back above the $3,900 mark.

Binance Coin leads top 10

While the majority of cryptocurrencies were in the green over the past 24 hours, Binance Coin (BNB) was the top 10 crypto to register the largest gains. Currently ranked 7th overall by market cap, the BNB token was up more than 6% at the time of writing. Over the past week, Binance Coin showed a significant uptick, climbing more than 14%

Ripple-backed fund to invest $100 million in blockchain for gaming

Blockchain giant Ripple, creator of the XRP token, has joined forces with blockchain platform Forte to launch a $100 million fund, aimed at investing in gaming-related blockchain developments. The partnership is between Ripple’s Xpring project and Forte, which will target gaming companies wishing to utilize in-game blockchain platforms. “Gaming is a $140 billion global industry driven predominantly by digital microtransaction economies, which we believe will benefit immensely from the integrity and resilience of blockchain technology,” said Forte Chief Platform Officer Brett Seyler in a press release.
