Daily Cryptocurrency Tracker 21.11.18: Bitcoin drops below $4,500

The cryptocurrency market remained lower over the past 24 hours, as 9 of the top 10 cryptocurrencies registered losses. For the first time since October of last year, the combined market cap of the crypto market dropped below $150 billion. Bitcoin continued to register losses, falling below the $4,500 mark.

XRP joins market trend

After remaining stable over the past few days, as the rest of the market fell, XRP took a turn for the worse over the past 24 hours, leading all top 10 cryptos in losses, falling more than 7.5% as of the time of writing. However, despite the recent losses, XRP held on to its recently reached status of world’s 2nd-largest market cap, with nearly $4 billion separating between its market cap and that of 3rd-ranked Ethereum.

Bitcoin Cash recovers nearly 10%

The only top 10 crypto to register gains over the past 24 hours was Bitcoin Cash, climbing nearly 10% as of the time of writing and regaining its rank as the world’s 4th-largest cryptocurrency. However, the price of BCH is still down more than 50% for the week, still hovering near its recently-recorded all-time low.
