Daily Cryptocurrency Tracker 30.5.19: Cryptos back in the green

Following yesterday’s correction, in which the majority of cryptocurrencies registered losses, markets recovered over the past 24 hours, as all top 10 cryptos were in the green. At the time of writing, Bitcoin was up around 2%, climbing back above the $8,700 mark.

Bitcoin Cash climbs 10%

Of the top 5 cryptocurrencies, the largest gains were registered by Bitcoin Cash, which was up around 10% at the time of writing. Bitcoin Cash, ranked 4th overall by market cap, has now reached a new yearly high, trading at a price level not seen since November of last year. Despite yesterday’s dip, the recent gains brought Bitcoin Cash’s weekly total to more than 20%.

Blockchain-based national archive test deemed successful

A new blockchain project in the UK, called ARCHANGEL, was recently tested for the storing and cataloguing of audio and visual documents in national archives. The project was in the UK, Estonia and Norway. According to a press release published yesterday by The University of Surrey, which ran the project, the results of the test are promising and the AI/Blockchain hybrid system can be used to manage national archives. The researchers highlighted that the advantage of using blockchain for such a task is that data could be entered from numerous terminals, however, none of the data recorded could be altered or tampered with in any way.
