Cryptos continue to climb
The cryptocurrency market remained in the green over the past 24 hours, as 8 of the top 10 cryptos registered gains. XRP led the top 10, up around 5% at the time of writing. Bitcoin showed modest gains of less than 1%, continuing to hold above the $5,200 mark.
Today’s highlights: Global markets mostly lower
- Wall Street ends lower: Strong earnings reports from the likes of Morgan Stanley and PepsiCo (which reached a new all-time high) initially lifted markets yesterday. However, sharp declines in the health-care sector caused Wall Street to eventually finish the day lower, as the SPX500, DJ30 and NSDQ100 all closed in the red. Earlier in the day, the tech sector rallied, pushing the NSDQ100 index to a new all-time intraday high, before closing slightly lower. Some stocks closed at all-time highs, including Microsoft and Nike.
