Trade war fears weigh on Wall Street
US markets closed lower yesterday, as the DJ30, SPX500 and NSDQ100 all registered losses. Reports in China that the government is rethinking its entire trade relationship with the US, coupled with US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin telling CNBC there are no trade talks scheduled with Beijing, pushed markets down. Chipmaker Qualcomm continued to slide, closing more than 10% lower, and Apple slipped more than 2%.

However, the meeting was held before the recent escalation in the US-China trade dispute, which could cause the Fed to change policy.
