Global multi-asset investment platform eToro has launched eToro FC, a community for UK football fans interested in learning about cryptoassets and investing, as part of their new #WelcomeToTheClub Premier League campaign.
Having partnered with seven Premier League clubs at the start of the season in deals paid for using bitcoin, eToro will work with Cardiff City FC, Crystal Palace FC, Brighton & Hove Albion FC, Leicester City FC, Newcastle United FC, Southampton FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC to help educate football fans by providing educational materials, tutorials, market news and more. Members of the eToro FC community will also have access to unique football content and the ability to enter competitions.
Iqbal V. Gandham, eToro UK Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to be launching the #WelcomeToTheClub campaign to help educate football fans who are new to investing. We carried out our Premier League sponsorship deals using bitcoin as a first step in showing the potential role cryptoassets could play in global sport. We hope to continue this with information which further enhances fans knowledge on the potential of cryptoassets along with investment in more traditional asset classes.”
Kicking off the campaign, the brand has signed up comedian and TV presenter Lloyd Griffith to front the video series, eToro Crypto Factor, which sees leading players from each of their partnered Premier League clubs taking on three football challenges which have similar traits to the world of investing.
eToro is a multi-asset platform which offers both investing in stocks and cryptocurrencies, as well as trading CFD assets.
Please note that CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 65% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work, and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.
Cryptoassets can fluctuate widely in price and are, therefore, not appropriate for all investors. Trading cryptoassets is not supervised by any EU regulatory framework. Past performance is not an indication of future results. This is not investment advice.
